For those of you that have worked with me over the past 20 years, you know and expect me to send you a Scope of Sales Appointment form. But for all the new people I meet every year, I wanted to explain in more detail what it is and why we need it.
The Scope of Sales Appointment form gives me your written consent to talk to you about certain plans. In a way, it is an agreed agenda for our meeting. It is a consumer protection and benefits the agent. We (agent and consumer) know up front what we are going to talk about.
This form is a requirement by the Federal Government. Last year, the Federal Government changed the rules for insurance agents. Insurance agent must now have your written consent, 48 HOURS IN ADVANCE of a phone call, virtual, or in person meeting.
This is an annual requirement and if you work with me, you will need to sign it every year so we are compliant with the Federal Government rules.
If you have any questions or concerns about the form, please let me know.
